Lets be clear, every person has a gut feeling, so I find it important to truly understand if that gut feeling is either an emotional reaction of comfort because the person is “like me”, or a true evaluative gut feeling that we have found "the right person". In my opinion, this confusion is evident in the new hire quality statistics of many organizations.
